Job summary

Compri Consulting in North Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Corporate Controller for a full-time, direct-hire role. You will own monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, deliver consolidated US GAAP financials, and oversee SEC filings and SOX compliance.

You will lead accounting teams, manage ERP/GL systems, and partner with FP&A, Treasury, and Operations on growth initiatives. A CPA and public-company experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3–5 years in Controller/Assistant Controller/SEC Reporting leadership at a public company
• Hands-on experience with 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and SOX 404 compliance
• Strong GAAP knowledge (ASC 606, ASC 842, inventory) and related rebates/stock-based compensation

Responsibilities

• Own monthly/quarterly/annual close and deliver consolidated US GAAP financials on time
• Set accounting positions on ASC 606, inventory/rebates, ASC 842, and stock-based compensation
• Prepare/review financial statements and footnotes for SEC filings
• Oversee 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K preparation; maintain SEC/XBRL calendar and support 302/906 certifications
• Design and maintain SOX 404 controls; lead testing, remediation, and Audit Committee reporting
• Manage external audit relationship, PBC schedules, and technical accounting issues
• Lead Assistant Controller, GL/AP team, and SEC Reporting Manager; build talent and succession
• Own department budget, ERP/GL system, and process automation
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Operations, and Merchandising; support M&A and growth initiatives

Required background:

• 8+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3–5 years in Controller/Assistant Controller/SEC Reporting leadership at a public company
• Hands-on experience with 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and SOX 404 compliance
• Strong technical GAAP knowledge (ASC 606 multi-channel, inventory, ASC 842)
• Hands-on modern ERP experience (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics, or similar)
• Builder mindset for scalable processes in a high-growth, recently public company
• Strong communication skills with CFO, CEO, Audit Committee, and auditors
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• Active CPA requiredPublic accounting (Big 4/national) preferred; retail/e-commerce or inventory-heavy experience a plus
