Our Client, a global privately held educational SaaS company is seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Controller Consultant for a 4+ month contract who will take the lead role to provide technical accounting, audit leadership and scalable financial infrastructure at the corporate accounting level. The Corporate Controller Consultant will lead and mentor a large accounting & finance team of 30+, provide consolidated financial statements, manage compliance with all state, federal and statutory reporting requirements, and partner closely with the FP&A team to interpret results. CORPORATE CONTROLLER CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the preparation and publishing of monthly financial statements, and maintain the well-organized and controller financial close process.
• Perform technical accounting reviews to ensure US GAAP compliance across contracts, leases, and other technical accounting matters.
• Provide comprehensive support for debt covenant accounting and reporting to all lenders.
• Partner closely with the FP&A teams to stay abreast of changes, reclassifications, actual results, etc. and communicate changes timely.
• Serve as the change agent for improving processes, assistance with the relocation of the corporate HQ to Dallas, TX, and ensure transition has minimal fallout.

CORPORATE CONTROLLER CONSULTANT REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• 15+ years within the corporate controllership/director level is required
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP & Technical Accounting Standards.
• Experience in public accounting firm and a US publicly traded corporate and reporting environment is preferred.
• Experience building process to scale with anticipated business growth.
• Experience driving transformation and efficiencies with internal controls and accounting systems.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and English verbal and written communication skills required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to handle ambiguity in a rapidly changing fast paced environment
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
• Ability to function as a team player
