Qualifications

• Relates to working in an interfaith setting and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to listen actively and communicate clearly with clients, families, and staff.
• Experience delivering community presentations and public speaking.
• Ability to manage stress while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Maintains accurate documentation in line with standards and procedures.
• Demonstrates a mature Christian faith aligned with MCHAP values.
• Exhibits diplomacy and strong customer service in diverse settings.
• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with leadership and clients.
• Uses judgement for confidential administrative decisions and problem-solving.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic tech tools.
• Holds an active state driver’s license and insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline chaplain, delivering faith-based support to employees and their families.
• Visit client worksites regularly to build relationships and provide care.
• Provide confidential pastoral guidance on personal matters as needed.
• Assist in planning and delivering memorial services and bereavement support.
• Support after-termination care and transitions for employees.
• Offer spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate and requested.
• Distribute literature and resources to assist with life issues.
• Represent ministry services to clients and respond to executive leadership needs.
• Participate in new employee orientation about Employee Care Service.
• Coordinate with EDO-permitted duties and follow formal agreements with clients.
