Citi Trends is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Attorney with a strong real estate background to join our Legal team in Savannah, GA. This role supports commercial real estate transactions, leases, acquisitions, development matters, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management for a fast-paced multi-location retail organization.

You will partner with internal stakeholders, manage complex matters, and provide practical guidance that protects the organization while enabling growth.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• 5+ years of corporate legal experience with a strong focus on real estate transactions.
• Experience with commercial leasing, acquisitions, development, land use and zoning.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• In-house legal experience and multi-location retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and development agreements.
• Advise on land use, zoning, property acquisitions, financing, and due diligence matters.
• Support real estate transactions from negotiation through closing.
• Partner with real estate, finance, operations, and executive teams.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and risk mitigation.
• Manage real estate-related disputes in partnership with external counsel when needed.

In this role, you’ll support a fast-paced, multi-location retail organization by advising on commercial real estate transactions, leases, acquisitions, development matters, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
