Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney for a midsize Long Island firm in Uniondale, NY. The role offers hybrid work (3 days in office) and exposure to sophisticated transactional matters including M&A, financings, and private equity.

You will work directly with senior partners and clients, enjoying meaningful ownership of matters in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have NY Bar admission, strong drafting skills, and a track record of handling complex corporate matters

Qualifications

• Corporate attorney with transactional experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience with M&A, financings, securities, private equity, or general corporate matters.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and senior attorneys.
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills.
• New York Bar admission required.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of transactional and general corporate matters.
• Lead M&A, financings, private equity, and other corporate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate complex corporate agreements.
• Collaborate with clients and senior partners to drive matters forward.
• Provide strategic counsel and client relationship management.
• Support governance and regulatory considerations as needed.

This is a strong opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated corporate work on a midsize platform with greater visibility, direct partner interaction, and a more collaborative environment than traditional BigLaw.

The Practice

The Corporate team advises public and private companies, entrepreneurs, investors, lenders, and other business clients across a broad range of transactional and general corporate matters, including:

• Mergers & acquisitions
• Debt and equity financings
• Private placements and investment transactions
• Corporate governance
• Commercial agreements
• Joint ventures and strategic transactions
• Business formations and restructurings
• General corporate counseling
• Securities and financing-related matters

The group works closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of their businesses and provides attorneys with meaningful opportunities to take ownership of matters and develop direct client relationships.
