Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mutual Fund Accounting Operations Specialist to research, interpret, and apply corporate action events for registered mutual funds and ETFs.

You will work with portfolio managers, custodians, and vendors to ensure accurate processing, documentation, and compliance in fund accounting systems. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting/finance or related experience, with 1–2 years in accounting/finance and strong analytical skills to resolve discrepancies and

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• One to two years of experience in accounting or finance activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and process all mandatory and voluntary corporate action events affecting mutual funds and ETFs.
• Analyze announcements and supporting documents to determine accounting and operational treatment.
• Validate event details from custodians, market vendors, issuers, and other external sources.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of corporate actions within fund accounting systems.
• Investigate and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions related to corporate action activity.
• Communicate event details and implications to stakeholders and collaborate with internal/external partners.
