Job summary
Peugeot Sport (Stellantis Motorsport) in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage end-to-end accounting processes, close collaboration with global and North American teams, and to drive compliant financial reporting.
You will apply US GAAP/IFRS knowledge, oversee consolidations, and support disclosures while leading cross-functional projects and enhancement initiatives within a dynamic motorsport environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related study.
- CPA or CA designation.
- 5+ years' accounting experience with knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience with consolidation system applications and concepts.
- Strong leadership and problem solving with bias for action.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting activities including analyzing/documenting transactions, recording journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Support preparation of financial statement disclosures for group and/or statutory reporting.
- Build and maintain working relationships with operating departments, auditors and other functions.
- Work on cross-functional teams to implement technical transactions and recommend proper accounting treatment.
- Serve as a reference point for issue resolution.
- Establish and maintain internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Ensure accounting estimates are properly supported, accurate and complete.
- Experience with foreign exchange, derivatives, hedging, impairment and actuarially-determined provisions.
- Drive continuous improvement and process initiatives across responsibilities.

- Supporting the preparation of financial statement disclosures for group and/or statutory reporting.
- Building and maintaining working relationships with operating departments (both globally and within North America), auditors and other functions.
- Working on cross-functional teams to facilitate proper implementation of technical transactions and recommending proper accounting treatment on unique transactions and/or new pronouncements.
- Serving as a reference point for issue resolution.
- Establishing and maintaining internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Ensuring accounting estimates are properly supported, accurate and complete.
- Experience with various technical accounting concepts (eg., foreign exchange transactions, derivatives, hedging transactions, impairment assessments and actuarially-determined provisions).
- Driving continuous improvement and process initiatives throughout area of responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related study
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 5+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles
- Experience with consolidation system applications and concepts
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
- Experience with SAP, HFM, OneStream
- Experience within the global automotive industry
