Addison Group is partnering with a multibillion-dollar, publicly traded industry leader to identify an Accounting Manager to join their corporate accounting team in Chicago. This is a highly visible role blending corporate accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership within a large, complex organization.

The position is hybrid in Chicago (3 days in office) and oversees two direct reports, collaborating with Accounting, Finance, and other business units.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or a large corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• CPA preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement reviews, and variance analysis.
• Manage and review accounting allocations across multiple business units.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.
• Lead, mentor, and develop two direct reports while overseeing day-to-day accounting activities.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
