Job summary

CV Resources represents an international entertainment company in Los Angeles seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join the accounting team. This hybrid role offers a base salary of $95,000 to $115,000 plus discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Reporting to the CFO and Group Controller, you will lead monthly close, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of total financial accounting experience, public or private mix acceptable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the CFO and Controller on monthly and quarterly deliverables to the Board, including financial statements and KPIs.
  • Prepare financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are GAAP compliant.
  • Perform month-end close procedures and reconciliations for domestic and international entities.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and support the annual audit.
  • Assist with corporate finance functions, including cash flow projections and the annual budget.

Our client, an international entertainment company in Los Angeles, seeks an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to join its accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will work closely with the CFO and Group Controller on monthly and quarterly deliverables, playing a key role in financial reporting, close processes, and cross-functional collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

G/L Accounting and Finance

  • Work directly with the CFO and Group Controller on monthly and quarterly deliverables to the Board, including a full set of financial statements, KPIs, market analysis, and commentary.
  • Prepare financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are accurately reflected and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform month-end account close procedures and reconciliations for various domestic and international entities.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and provide proper supporting documentation for the annual audit.
  • Assist with corporate finance functions, including weekly cash flow projections, long-term financial projections, and the annual budget.

Controls and Compliance

  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
  • Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures.
  • Analyze vendor activity and assist with accounts payable and treasury functions as needed.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Required
  • 5+ years of total financial accounting experience (straight public accounting or a mix of public and industry experience is acceptable).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA or active pursuit of CPA.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes and internal controls.
Preferred
  • Entertainment or entertainment services industry experience.
  • Prior employment in a public accounting firm.
SKILLS OF THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Required

Technical

  • Advanced systems skills, with experience in a large ERP/consolidation system.
  • Exceptionally strong Excel skills (V-lookups and pivot tables).

Interpersonal

  • Detail-oriented, with the willingness and ability to ensure accurate reporting while also thinking strategically at a high level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
