Job description

Manager, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations

Location: Charlotte, NC | Hybrid Schedule (3/2)

An exciting opportunity for a Big 4 or large national public accounting firm Audit Manager ready to transition into a high-visibility corporate accounting leadership role!

Carolina PRG is partnering with a publicly traded organization in Charlotte to identify a Manager, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who wants to leverage their technical accounting, audit, and internal controls expertise while gaining hands‑on experience in a complex corporate environment.

In this role, you will play an integral part in the company's financial close and consolidation processes, strengthen internal controls, support SOX compliance initiatives, and drive meaningful process improvements.

Rather than evaluating processes from the outside, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, implement improvements, and directly influence the accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support monthly and quarterly financial close and consolidation processes for a complex, multi-entity public company.
  • Oversee consolidation activities, including intercompany accounting, reconciliations, eliminations, and financial reporting deliverables.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, and other finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Strengthen SOX controls, improve accounting documentation, and support remediation of identified control deficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and improve close efficiency.
  • Support the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the company's consolidation and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to address accounting and control-related matters.
  • Leverage technology, automation, and process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience.
  • Big 4 or large national public accounting firm experience strongly preferred, particularly professionals with public-company audit clients.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and PCAOB audit requirements.
  • Experience with financial statement consolidations, intercompany accounting, and multi-entity reporting.
  • Exposure to internal control remediation, process improvements, or financial close transformation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Experience with financial consolidation systems, particularly Oracle FCCS, is a plus.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Transition from public accounting to industry: Apply your audit, technical accounting, and controls expertise from inside the organization.
  • High visibility: Collaborate with experienced accounting leadership and cross-functional finance teams.
  • Make an impact: Play a meaningful role in strengthening accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Professional growth: Expand your experience in corporate accounting, consolidations, and public-company financial reporting.
  • Complex accounting environment: Gain exposure to multi-entity consolidations, SOX initiatives, and financial systems improvements.
  • Hybrid flexibility: Enjoy a hybrid work arrangement in Charlotte, NC.
