Job summary

The Heritage Group Internship Program offers a paid, hands-on opportunity in our Accounting Team. Interns contribute to accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and financial reporting while engaging in AI/automation projects and system enhancements.

Open to rising juniors and seniors pursuing accounting, finance, or related business fields, with a high school diploma as a minimum. Strong Excel skills and ERP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic accounting principles and financial statements.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting/finance, open to rising juniors and seniors.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Maintain documentation and prepare audit support materials.
• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to create efficiencies in the accounting process.
• Document operational accounting processes and controls.
• Build reporting functionality across Corporate Finance.
• Collaborate with Treasury, FP&A, and Tax to propose process improvements.
