McLane Company, Inc in Temple, Texas is seeking a Corporate Accounting Specialist I to support daily financial processes and reporting. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure GAAP compliance and data accuracy.

The role requires a detail-oriented approach with at least two years in accounting and proficiency in Excel and financial systems. This is a hybrid role with on-site collaboration from our Temple location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative office experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Review, monitor, and balance daily and weekly accounting reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and make necessary corrections and adjustments.
• Process expense invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare invoice batches for auditing and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Scan, index, and maintain accounting documentation and records.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external contacts to research and resolve issues.
• Communicate financial information and results to management as requested.
• Ensure accounting activities are completed in compliance with GAAP.
• Support departmental operations through cross-training and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
