Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team in Maryland. You will maintain the general ledger, support month-end close, prepare financial reports, and assist with audits in a deadline-driven environment while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement prep, and intercompany activities. Strong Excel and ERP experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records and accounting transactions
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items
• Analyze financial data and prepare management reporting packages
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies
• Partner with cross-functional departments to support business initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Participate in special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned
