Job summary

The Pokémon Company International is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support month-end close coordination and cross-functional collaboration within the General Accounting team. In this role, you will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant reporting while driving process improvements and system optimizations.

Qualifications

Five to seven years of experience coordinating month-end close.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Ability to manage and prioritize deadlines independently.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and drive the month-end close process across Accounting and Finance to support a sustainable five-day close.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure GAAP-compliant reporting.
Partner with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional teams to improve close processes.
Lead process improvements to reduce manual effort and increase scalability.
Support the administration, maintenance, and improvement of accounting systems and reconciliation tools.
Develop accounting policies and procedures to support strong controls and operational excellence.
Support internal and external audits and serve as a trusted business partner across Accounting and Finance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
