Job summary

500 Feet Ahead Staffing, LLC is seeking a proactive Corporate AOG Mechanic to join our maintenance team. You will perform urgent repairs and troubleshooting on corporate aircraft to minimize downtime and maximize readiness in time-sensitive AOG situations.

Travel up to 100% of the time to locations within 200 miles of major hubs, with global opportunities. Must have 7+ years on corporate aircraft and an A&P license; strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, engines and airframe structures is

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years working on corporate aircraft.
• Experience with Gulfstream, Challenger/Global, Cessna Citation, King Air, Embraer Phenom/Legacy preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform urgent repairs and diagnostics during AOG conditions to minimize downtime.
• Repair, replace, and adjust components per manufacturer specs and safety standards.
• Document maintenance actions in compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering and flight operations to schedule rapid repairs.
• Maintain organized work area and ensure tools are calibrated.

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Corporate AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing urgent repairs and troubleshooting on corporate aircraft to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational readiness. Your expertise will help keep our fleet flying safely and efficiently, providing critical support during time-sensitive AOG situations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your technical skills directly impact the company's operational success.

- AOG On Call Schedule (Guaranteed pay of 40 hours a week)

- LOCATIONS HIRING FOR, WE NEED MECHANICS WITHIN' 200 MILES OF:

- Atlanta, GA

- Must be open to traveling 100% of the time outside and inside these locations, and any location in America to perform Rapid Response AOG.

Locations may change depending on location of aircraft.

Preferred if candidate lives within' 200 miles of a homebase airport.

MUST HAVE MINIMUM 7 YEARS WORKING ON CORPORATE AIRCRAFT SUCH AS:

• Gulfstream (GIV–G700)
• Bombardier (Challenger, Global)
• Cessna Citation series
• King Air 90/200/350
• Embraer Phenom or Legacy

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of aircraft systems to identify issues promptly during AOG situations
• Perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments on aircraft components following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
• Document all maintenance actions meticulously in compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures
• Collaborate with engineering and flight operations teams to coordinate repair schedules and ensure swift resolution of AOG events
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and stored
• Assist in inventory management of parts and tools needed for emergency repairs, ensuring availability at all times

Qualifications

• A&P License REQUIRED.
• Proven experience as an aircraft mechanic, specifically in corporate or business aviation environments
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and airframe structures
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures clearly and accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on rapid diagnosis and effective repair execution
• Valid certification from an authorized aviation maintenance authority (e.g., FAA Airframe & Powerplant license or equivalent)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including emergency call-outs outside regular shifts when necessary
