Job summary

Vertical Mag is seeking an experienced AOG Aircraft Technician to support rapid-response maintenance near Orlando, FL. You will diagnose, repair, and document actions to return corporate aircraft to service under tight timelines.

Candidates should have 8+ years of hands-on maintenance on King Air, Citation, Gulfstream, or Global jets, and hold a valid A&P license. Strong troubleshooting, adherence to FAA standards, and ability to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance on King Air, Citation, Gulfstream, or Global jets.
• AOG/on-call experience in corporate/business aviation.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Willing to work nights/weekends/holidays as required by AOG demand.
• Must pass pre-employment screening; valid driver’s license; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to AOG service calls and perform maintenance to return aircraft to service quickly and safely.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and determine corrective actions in a time-sensitive environment.
• Perform inspections, repairs, removals/installs, and component changes using approved data.
• Use and interpret maintenance manuals and approved references (AMM, SRM, IPC, WDM, drawings, engineering dispositions, etc.).
• Complete functional checks, operational checks, and return-to-service actions.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and quality standards.
• Accurately complete all maintenance documentation, including logbook entries and work order records.
• Coordinate with leads, maintenance control, and QA as needed for approvals and release requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety/FOD policies.
• Communicate professionally and represent the company well while supporting AOG events.

This role is responsible for safely returning aircraft to service through efficient diagnostics, compliant repairs, and accurate documentation—often under tight timelines and changing conditions. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience supporting King Air, Citation, Gulfstream, and/or Global aircraft, with a minimum of 3 years of experience across any combination of these platforms.

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience on any combination of King Air, Citation, Gulfstream, Global.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior AOG/on-call experience in corporate/business aviation.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-urgency environments.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights/weekends/holidays as required by AOG demand.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements (drug screen/background, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet badging/site access requirements.
• Must have a clean driving record.
