Job summary

Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service (inc) is seeking a Cornerstone Program Director to lead NYCHA Cornerstone services in Brooklyn. You will manage staff, ensure contract compliance and deliver high-quality educational and recreational programs for youth, families, and communities served by BCS.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning and experience working with government contracts and nonprofit social services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Elementary Education with strong management experience.
• MSW, MPA or MPH or equivalent Master’s Degree preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and management for high quality program services to vulnerable clients in line with funder requirements.
• Oversee on-site staff and center activities; ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
• Develop educational and recreational programming in line with DYCD/DOE guidelines and contract obligations.
• Coordinate reporting, enrollment data, and program compliance with DYCD and funders.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate Cornerstone center staff; manage crisis intervention and trauma-informed approaches.
