Cornerstone Equipment is seeking a Shop Service Technician to join our Dry Ridge team, a family-owned provider of material handling, agricultural, and construction equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing service issues, performing repairs on construction and agriculture equipment, conducting inspections, and supporting Sales/Service teams while delivering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of additional education or technical training, or two years of relevant equipment service and repair experience.
• Possession of the tools necessary to perform the job; specialty tools will be provided by the company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable cell phone.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to continually learn and develop job-related knowledge and skills.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Ascertaining service problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
• Performing proficient repairs on construction and agriculture equipment (skid steers, mowers, tractors, etc.).
• Performing PDI and PM inspections and repairs on equipment for the Sales and Service teams.
• Occasionally running breakdowns for customers as needed.
• Working with team members and customers in the resolution of disputes and opportunities.
• Protect organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Professional development through attendance at seminars, training courses, etc.
• Involvement in open houses, info-seminars, trade shows and other customer related programs.
• Work closely with other departments within the organization to resolve customer problems.
• Pickup / Deliver Customer equipment for service or sales.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work around heavy machinery, moving equipment, grease, oil, and chemicals
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment when required

Performance Expectations and Employment Requirements

Technicians and mechanics may be evaluated based on billable hours, repair proficiency, customer service, preventive maintenance completion rates, and other job-related performance measures.

Technician Qualifications

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
