JOB PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Actively sell the Sawgrass Equipment lineup of products/services, including and not limited to new/used tractors, mowers, attachments, implements, construction equipment, handheld power equipment, etc.
- Evaluate trade-ins and research comps to prepare fair trade offers to both the company and the customer. All trade offers require management approval.
- Ensure all equipment (new, used, trade, mowers, tractors, etc.) have accurate and up to date sale price tags/hang tags present on equipment.
- Submit all paperwork such as: report of sales, manufacturer warranties, funding requests and the like, in a timely manner.
- Ensure equipment brochures are readily available for customers.
- Maintain sales lot to be a welcoming place for customers, ensuring it is clean and organized.
- Organize models on the lot by series/size/hp to maintain an "easy to walk and shop" lot.
- Maintain sales showroom to be a welcoming place for customers.
- Strive to capture every possible sale or opportunity.
- Meet, discuss products, provide information/demonstrations of represented equipment, and provide quotes to customers interested in Sawgrass's full line of products and services.
- Prepare and deliver quotes for all equipment.
- Utilize offered Customer Relationship Management Software to effectively represent Sawgrass to clientele/prospective clients.
- Develop strong ties with existing customers in the Territory.
- Professional development through attendance at sales meeting, seminars, training courses, etc.
- Involvement in open houses, info-seminars, trade shows and other customer related programs.
- Create and maintain social media postings regarding equipment sales and promotions.
- Assist A/R in the collection of past due invoices as necessary.
- Other duties may be required for the success of this position.
- Do your best to provide "White Glove" customer service in our "Farm Glove" environment.

Requirements
- Strong understanding of the compact agriculture and construction equipment, including specifications, functions, and applications.
- Effective communication skills with ability to explain complex products clearly to potential customers and listen effectively to understand their needs.
- Experience with negotiation skills and familiarity with negotiating prices, terms, and conditions in a way that benefits both the customer and the organization.
- Skills in identifying and pursuing new leads, whether through cold calling, networking, trade shows, or referrals.
- Proficiency in using CRM software to track interactions, manage leads, and monitor sales pipelines.
- Ability to close deals, overcoming objections, and finalizing agreements.
- Ability to assess the customer’s needs and provide tailored equipment recommendations.
- Handling any issues customers may face during or after the sales process.
- Providing post-sale support, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction to build long-term relationships.
- Strong teamwork abilities and willingness to be committed to team success.
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking: Ability to spend portions of the day standing, walking around equipment, job sites, dealerships, or trade shows.
- Driving: Ability to drive regularly to customer locations, job sites, and demonstrations.
- Climbing and maneuvering: Depending on the equipment, you may need to climb steps, ladders, platforms, or enter/exit machinery.
- Lifting and carrying: Occasional lifting of sales materials, tools, samples, or equipment components—often around 20-50 pounds.
- Reaching and bending: Ability to inspect equipment, point out features, read controls, and access different parts of machinery.
- Outdoor work: Sometimes required to work outside in heat, cold, rain, dust, or uneven terrain.
- Visual ability: Sufficient vision to inspect equipment, read specifications, operate a vehicle safely, and identify mechanical features or defects.
- Hearing and communication: Ability to hear and communicate with customers, coworkers, and technicians, sometimes in noisy environments.
- General mobility: Ability to move safely around large machinery and potentially busy construction, agricultural, or industrial sites.
