Job summary

Lifeline Foods in St. Joseph, MO, is seeking an Elevator Operator to handle corn transfer operations, inventory tracking and storage management. The role covers bin-level accuracy, grain integrity, and paperwork to maintain HACCP compliance in a high‑noise manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, basic math and mechanical skills, and strong communication abilities. Proficiency with vertical software and PIT equipment is expected.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; or 3 years grain elevator experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic math and mechanical skills required.
• English fluency in reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
• Tech proficiency with computers, tablets, and two-way radios.
• Good verbal and written communication with internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate Elevator equipment to move and store corn.
• Assist with managing corn condition and storage equipment (bins).
• Record stored corn quality, inventory location and storage levels.
• Prevent cross-contamination of organic/non-GMO corn during storage and transfer.
• Operate PIT equipment as needed (skid steer, forklift, etc.).
• Record all corn movement and bin levels; complete paperwork to HACCP, traceability, FS and quality requirements.
• Maintain GMPs and housekeeping in Elevator area.
• Adhere to Lifeline Foods Code of Team Behavior.
