To lead team members in the making and assembly of quality Isocure and Shell cores delivered to the mold line.

Budgetary/Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for the activities of Operators, Finishers, Utility and Tractor Drivers.

Essential Functions

• Follow all established safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Comply with all quality requirements.
• Oversee training activities.
• Lead all team members in the activities to make and deliver cores to the mold line.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Pattern Shop and Mold lines on issues.
• Over see the attendance policy for department team members.
• Scheduling of team members.
• Keep work area clean.
• Prepare the daily schedule for team members in the department.
• Set up training as needed for team members.
• Review the QCL for each job and request changes as needed to assure we are making a quality part.
• Assist all team members in the making, cleaning, dipping and assembly of cores.
• Take inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
• Fill out required paperwork.
• Inspect the tooling and write work orders for repairs as needed.
• Inspect the core machines and communicate with team members on repairs needed to the machines. Write work orders for repairs.
• Work with the mold lines on quality issues caused by the cores.
• Administer the attendance policy for the team members.
• Communicate with the other shifts for follow up.
• Work with the Sand Lab on statistical control of resins and sand systems.
• Inspect quality of incoming materials.
