An IPA Top 225 Public Accounting firm is looking to hire an Audit Supervisor for their Commercial Audit team! This position is remote. However, candidates must live within Orange County, CA for occasional client visits.

Job Description

• Lead and manage audit and review engagements of varying complexity.
• Gain deep insight into client operations and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers in compliance with GAAS and other relevant standards.
• Deliver accurate, well-organized documentation and audit evidence.
• Proactively address client needs and resolve issues as they arise.
• Build strong client relationships and ensure timely project delivery within budget.
• Supervise and mentor staff, offering feedback and supporting evaluations.
• Maintain high technical standards and effectively apply professional guidance in engagements.
• Submit time and expenses promptly to support billing.
• Participate in recruiting efforts and develop relationships with prospective candidates.
• Contribute to business development through networking and community involvement.
• Apply audit principles, including FASB and SSARS/GAAS, across assigned engagements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry-specific audit areas such as regulatory compliance, due diligence, and internal controls.
• Oversee staff performance, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget.
• Support employee growth through training and coaching.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience working with commercial clients (e.g. Automotive, Healthcare, Manufacturing & Distribution, Construction, Professional Services, Real Estate, etc.)
• CPA license (active or in progress).
• 5+ years of recent public accounting experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Client-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; audit software experience preferred.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Willingness to visit clients onsite as needed (a few times per month).
