Capital Group is seeking a Core Operations Valuation Analyst to support our daily valuation process with focus on equities, fixed income and derivatives. You will review tasks, monitor vendor performance, and present analyses to committees.

Strong finance knowledge, GAAP experience, and excellent communication are essential. You will work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and contribute to accuracy, risk controls, and timely reporting, while mentoring teammates and upholding Capital

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of securities, financial markets and valuation techniques.
• General knowledge of mutual funds and GAAP experience.
• Understanding of pricing methodologies for securities, OTC, fixed income and derivatives.
• Experience with vendor relationships and due diligence.
• Experience performing daily validation of third-party prices.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and market news for fair value impact.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
• Mentoring and guiding team members; comfortable under pressure.
• Effective written and verbal communication to senior leaders and committees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily and periodic valuation tasks.
• Assess and track vendor performance and pricing accuracy.
• Present monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc valuation reports to internal committees.
• Perform in-depth valuation analysis on equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Interpret valuation and liquidity data and present insights to leadership.
• Monitor, review, and test liquidity classifications and conduct stress testing per regulatory requirements.
