Job summary

Ford is seeking a Core Moveable Glass Systems Engineer to define and evolve the foundational engineering principles for moveable glass in future vehicles. You will establish system requirements, develop DFMEAs, and create detailed design rules to ensure quality and manufacturability across platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and engineering disciplines to drive technology roadmaps, assess new materials and processes, and deliver scalable, modular architectures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 2+ years in automotive product development focusing on system engineering, requirements, and quality methodologies for moveable glass & closures.
• Proven understanding of quality tools (DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D, RCA).
• Knowledge of moveable glass design principles and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Define, document, and maintain system-level requirements for core moveable glass systems.
• Lead DFMEA development and mitigation strategies for moveable glass systems.
• Establish design rules and guidelines for manufacturability and quality.
• Drive technology roadmaps and early-stage innovation for next-gen glass systems.
• Define modular architectures and interfaces for cross-platform reuse.
