Job summary

First Mid Bank & Trust in Mattoon, IL is looking for a Core Processing Specialist I to manage loan document interpretation and funding, ensuring customer records and core system accuracy. You will process and fund loans, verify collateral terms, and support timely loan bookings across departments.

The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and with lenders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• 1+ years banking, clerical or loan processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets legal loan documents for Commercial loans and accurately books the loans to the core system.
• Independently analyzes complex loan documentation to set up and fund loan accounts while adhering to bank standards.
• Exports of new and renewed loans onto the Core in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review files and disburse loan proceeds for Loan Officers and Customers while handling confidential material.
• Analyzes loan documents to identify collateral terms and cross-loan security.
• Upload processor records into imaging system and gather loan documents for servicing.
• Supports departmental objectives with accurate and timely loan bookings.
• Perform mass maintenance within the loan portfolio per procedures and controls.
