Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join the Core Laboratory team at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

This leadership role will oversee daily Core Lab operations, ensuring accurate testing, timely reporting, QA, and staffing across shifts. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in a related field, at least 2 years as a Technologist/Technician, and supervisory experience, with ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years as Technologist or Technician.
• Prefer at least 2 years supervisory/leadership experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Core Laboratory.
• Ensure laboratory tests are performed accurately and results are reported promptly.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and develop laboratory personnel.
• Monitor workflow and ensure adequate assay coverage across shifts.
• Investigate and resolve production or testing errors, escalating as needed.
• Provide regular coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and QC procedures.
