The role involves policy development, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, budgeting, and collaboration with leadership to drive quality improvements while maintaining compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Florida licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor within three (3) months of hire or transfer.
• Over 5 years of experience as a Technologist or Histocompatibility/Histotechnologist/Cytotechnologist.
• Supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day technical operations of the assigned cost center to maximize service while minimizing cost.
• Oversee receipt, prioritization, and acceptance/rejection of specimens; perform moderate to high complexity procedures.
• Monitor and revise the Laboratory Quality Plan with Medical Director and Technical Manager; address incidents and ensure compliance.
• Write and implement cost center policies; oversee hiring, evaluations and payroll functions.
• Support and train staff; supervise students and new employees.
