Job summary

Guthrie seeks a Core Lab Manager to oversee the Sayre Core Laboratory, including Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis across all affiliated Guthrie sites. You will direct technical testing operations, drive efficiency, and collaborate with pathologists and department leaders to uphold QA and regulatory standards.

Preferred candidates have a BS in Medical Technology, 6+ years in a clinical lab, and advanced management education. Certification by ASCP or eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience in the laboratory
• ASCP certification preferred or board-eligible
• Advanced management degrees or courses preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in Core Lab processes across Sayre and affiliated sites
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Plan and coordinate Core Lab functions across all shifts
• Participate in evaluating new instruments and procedures
• Lead validation of new equipment and testing procedures
• Prepare policies to standardize Guthrie Lab sites
• Schedule personnel and manage staffing within budget
• Mentor and develop staff and conduct performance evaluations
