Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville seeks a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Core Lab at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. The role requires licensing in Florida, 2 years MT experience, and a strong teamwork focus in a high-volume lab environment.

Responsibilities include technical testing, LIS operations, supervising MLTs as needed, and maintaining quality records. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates to join our downtown campus.

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical Technologist experience required.
• Licensed Medical Technologist in Florida or eligible.
• License note as per State of Florida licensure rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical, specimen processing, LIS, and clerical functions.
• Keep records of performance as per SOPs.
• Supervise MLTs as General Supervisor when needed; act as Charge Technologist in absence of supervisors.
