Position: Core Drill Machine Operator

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Field-based role; travel to job sites required)

Type: Full-Time | Contract to Hire

Pay: $32–$35/hr DOE

We are seeking an experienced Core Drill Machine Operator to join a specialized construction crew working on complex infrastructure and industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong core drilling background who is confident in executing technical cuts and thrives in high-precision, high-stakes field environments. Operators will also receive on-site training from Taiwan-based engineers to ensure procedures meet specific project standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate core drill machinery to cut clean and accurate round (2"–14") and square holes through concrete, asphalt, or other structural materials.
• Follow site-specific instructions and layout markings to ensure precision drilling execution.
• Receive on-the-job training from Taiwan engineers to meet project-specific standards and expectations.
• Ensure safe, correct use of equipment in accordance with all site protocols.
• Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and material handling before and after operations.
• Communicate proactively with foremen, engineers, and fellow crew members to ensure work is aligned with project timelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation checks to confirm machine safety and performance.
• Keep the work zone clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of direct experience operating core drill machines in construction environments.
• Proven ability to follow technical instructions and execute precision cuts on-site.
• Familiarity with core drilling practices in concrete and structural materials.
• Strong physical condition and stamina to lift and operate heavy equipment daily.
• Reliable communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• Basic math proficiency for reading measurements and layout interpretation.
• Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
