Job summary

The Core Banking Specialist I at BankIowa will support day-to-day administration, maintenance, data quality, and security for the core banking environment. The role involves user access setup, change adoption, documentation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure accurate, reliable, and well-governed systems.

Training begins in Independence and may take up to a year; after training, responsibilities include testing, reporting, and governance activities, with potential flexibility on branch

Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent banking or systems experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of banking products, account processing, deposit operations, loan operations, or core banking systems preferred.
  • Comfort learning technology systems, intranet content standards, system integrations, security concepts, user access setup, procedures, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine maintenance of core banking products, services, parameters, and customer or account-related settings.
  • Support data quality by reviewing data, identifying inconsistencies, and helping resolve issues.
  • Assist with core release preparation, validation, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Support core system integrations, security, user access setup, and approvals.
  • Provide timely user support, create procedures and training aids, and assist train-the-trainer initiatives.
  • Follow change management practices and escalate issues to management when needed.
