Job summary

1st National Bank of Scotia is seeking a Core Banking Systems Administrator to serve as the internal expert for the FIS Horizon XE platform and related applications. The role focuses on configuration, maintenance, reporting, testing, and enhancement of the core banking environment.

The position requires collaboration with Operations, Retail Banking, Lending, Accounting, Compliance, IT, and external vendors to ensure reliable system operation, regulatory compliance, and strong customer service

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT/IS/Finance.
• 3+ years supporting banking systems or financial applications.
• Experience with core banking platforms or mission-critical financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure the FIS Horizon XE core banking platform.
• Develop and run Horizon 360 reports and other approved reporting tools.
• Coordinate upgrades, patches, and releases with FIS and vendors.
• Liaise with Operations, Retail Banking, Lending, Accounting, Compliance, and IT.
• Assist with audits, risk controls, and business continuity planning.
