LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Gainesville, FL, seeks a Cord Blood Collections Manager to oversee cord blood collection operations, staff leadership, and hospital relationships. This role supports the LifeSouth Cellular Therapies program through outreach and program growth initiatives.

You will lead onboarding, training, and development of collection staff while ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or healthcare. Master’s preferred.
• Three years of management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with hospitals, physician offices, donors, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cord blood collection operations, recruitment efforts, and site performance.
• Lead onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of collection staff.

• Assist with audits, inspections, reporting, and quality improvement activities.
• Review operational reports, supply requests, inventory needs, and departmental documentation.
• Collaborate with internal leadership teams to support the Cellular Therapies program.
• Represent LifeSouth and the Cord Blood Program in a professional and positive manner.

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Cord Blood Collections Manager in Gainesville, FL.

This position oversees cord blood collection operations, staff leadership, hospital relationships, and outreach initiatives supporting the LifeSouth Cellular Therapies program.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business or healthcare-related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Three years of management or supervisory experience required
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with hospitals, physician offices, donors, and community partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities effectively
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements
• Previous sales, recruitment, outreach, and/or healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and compliance standards preferred
