Job summary

Sonos is seeking current undergraduates for an 11-week Summer Internship in New York, NY. You’ll support the copy team across email, social, web and retail, learning Sonos brand voice and contributing to creative projects.

Work is 40 hours per week, onsite at least 4 days per week, from June 7 to August 20, 2027. You’ll collaborate with design teammates, present your project at the internship end, and gain mentorship in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student with expected graduation Winter 2027/2028 or Spring 2028/2029.
• Available Jun–Aug 2027 and able to work from NY office at least 4 days/week.
• Authorized to work for any US employer.

Work Period: June 7 - August 20, 2027 Location & Schedule: This is a 40-hour-per-week position with a minimum of 4 days per week onsite in our New York, NY office. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support the copy team with writing needs across brand and marketing projects
• Help draft and proof copy for email, social, web, retail, and other channels
• Learn to write in the Sonos brand voice and adapt for different audiences and touchpoints
• Participate in brainstorms, creative development, and reviews with the team
• Own a project built around your interests:
• Collaborate with the design intern to develop the project
• Review milestones with senior creative leadership
• Present the project at the end of your internship

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Basic Qualifications

• Strong writing skills and solid grasp of grammar and punctuation
• Attention to detail and eye for clear, compelling copy
• Interest in advertising, branding, marketing, and what makes creative work great
• Curiosity, a collaborative attitude, and eagerness for feedback
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework in writing, advertising, communications, marketing, or journalism
• Writing samples that show creativity, originality, and ability to tell a good story
• Familiarity with Google Workspace
• Interest in music, audio, design, technology, and culture

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a College or University, with expected graduation date of Winter 2027/2028 or Spring 2028/2029.
• Available to participate in our internship program from June to August
• Ability to work out of our New York office a minimum 4 days per week
• Authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future.
