Job Description

What does a Copy Supervisor do?

The Copy Supervisor (CS) is an active contributor to the creative team, responsible for concept and copy development across various projects. The CS acts as a liaison between creative and account teams, ensuring strategic and creative expectations are met. They possess a strong understanding of FDA regulations and pharmaceutical promotion requirements, along with marketing/advertising principles to ensure work adheres to brand standards. The CS presents and defends work internally and externally, demonstrating leadership by monitoring workloads and maintaining quality and deadlines. They play a key role in leading and elevating copy within the team.

• Lead and elevate copy across projects, adding value wherever possible.
• Provide constructive feedback to junior creatives to improve work quality.
• Bring strong conceptual skills and creative solutions to projects.
• Manage copy assignments of varying scope and complexity to create cohesive brand experiences.
• Estimate hours for projects for oneself and team members.
• Translate scientific information into clear, original messaging.
• Follow best practices in file management and the One Intouch Process.
• Work towards utilization targets for self and team.
• Apply accessibility best practices to all work.
• Mentor and develop junior copy team members.
• Grow understanding of clients’ business and how the work impacts it.
• Collaborate closely with planning, editorial, and medical teams for alignment.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
