Job summary

Gupta Permold Corp is hiring a Production Worker / Molder (Entry-Level) for the 2nd shift in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time role offers a starting wage of $20.00 per hour and includes union benefits. No weekends and opportunities to grow within a modern aluminum foundry.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to read production instructions. Safety, teamwork, and reliable transportation are required to start with a strong foundation in a busy casting

Qualifications

• Read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare equipment for production, including cleaning and assembly.
• Pour molten aluminum using appropriate handling tools and safety equipment.
• Monitor casting quality and perform real-time adjustments.
• Remove finished castings and conduct inspections.
• Trim and finish castings and clean work areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.
• Complete production and quality checks and document results.
• Follow plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare equipment for production, including cleaning, coating, and assembly
• Pour molten aluminum using appropriate handling tools and safety equipment
• Monitor casting quality and make real-time adjustments as needed
• Remove finished castings and conduct visual and dimensional inspections
• Perform grinding, trimming, and cleanup on raw castings
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Complete production and quality checks
• Follow all plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout guidelines
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors

Preferred Skills:

• Manufacturing, foundry, or production experience
• Knowledge of aluminum casting or metalworking processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work in industrial or hot work environments
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Requirements:

• 18+ years old
