Job summary

Vonachen Group in Des Moines, IA seeks an Operator to operate industrial power equipment on a 2nd shift, Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm, earning $18.50 per hour. You will perform machine checks, drive the plant floor to sweep and scrub, and assist with spills while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successfully pass training in Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Confined Spaces, Aerial Lifts, Forklift, Gator/Cart, Fall Protection, PPE, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Good communication skills and customer-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• The operators must do machine checks each day.
• Drive throughout the plant with the main focus on using the machine to sweep and scrub the floor.
• Get on and off the machine to sweep and use a scraper to remove rubber and assist with spill cleanups.
• Maintain a safe work environment following safety regulations and protocols.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Operator is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities:

• The operators must do machine checks each day.
• Drive throughout the plant with their main focus using the machine to sweep and scrub the floor.
• Must get on and off the machine frequently to sweep, with a broom, where the machines cannot reach and use a scraper throughout the entire shift to scrape excess rubber off the floors, assist with spill clean ups, and dust guardrails.
• Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
• Complete other duties as assigned
