The role involves inspecting and testing HV equipment, performing wiring diagrams interpretation, and providing field services to utilities and industrial sites.

You will travel locally and regionally, respond to customer needs including emergencies, and maintain thorough documentation while upholding safety standards and company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• NETA 2 certification preferred; may substitute 3+ years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following PPE, lockout/tagout, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally with periodic overnight assignments.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs—including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.

Requirements

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA 2 certification preferred; will substitute 3+ years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment and hand tools.
• Strong commitment to safety, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and hazard awareness.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and work extended or irregular hours as needed.
• Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in outdoor or industrial environments.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
• Ability to work extended hours, including nights or weekends during outages or emergency service calls.
