Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon, a leading provider of transformer and power distribution solutions, is seeking a Field Service Technician in South Carolina. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low to high-voltage equipment and work hands-on with customers in the field.

You will travel locally and regionally, perform electrical testing on transformers and switchgear, and deliver safe, reliable service while documenting activities and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA certification preferred; will substitute 3 years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
• Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.

• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.

As Field service Technician you’d be working under the Power Solutions Group branch of Sunbelt Solomon supporting our customers by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical power distribution equipment. You’ll work hands-on with a wide range of systems, deliver exceptional service, and be a trusted resource in the field representing Sunbelt Solomon.
