Job summary

Cerro Wire LLC is seeking a production operator to run copper wire manufacturing equipment on a 12-hour shift in a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will learn and operate drawing, bunching, and extrusion processes using computerized controls to meet daily production goals.

Responsibilities include quality checks, safety, housekeeping, and collaboration with teammates. Must be able to read orders in English and obtain forklift certification; employment requires background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and interpret production orders in English.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Employment is contingent upon passing pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to manufacture high-quality copper wire.
• Learn production processes such as drawing, bunching, and extrusion.
• Use computer controls to run equipment.
• Produce to prescribed guides to meet daily output targets.
• Perform hourly quality checks for standards compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment on the production floor.
• Keep lines and areas clean and organized.
• Ask questions when tasks are unclear to ensure understanding.
• Provide support on the floor as needed and perform other duties.
