The Southern CA Copper I&R Technician position is based out of various cities (Whittier, Temecula, Covina, Pomona, Palm Springs, Moreno Valley, Morongo Valley, Los Angeles, Beach Cities, Arrowhead, Big Bear, Palm Springs, Indio, Hemet, Lancaster, Ridgecrest, San Bernardino) and is full-time. The primary responsibility is to install DSL internet services, ensuring high-quality service and product education for residential and commercial customers. Role and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair copper systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensure optimal performance of internet, phone, and TV services where applicable.
• Complete pre-install work orders and post-install verification, providing customer education to ensure satisfaction.
• Install aerial or buried copper drop wires and wiring inside and outside buildings.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Work at heights using ladders and in confined spaces.
• Assist team members as needed to ensure team success.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Adapt to new processes and information quickly.
• Use internal systems for work orders and timekeeping.
• Maintain customer appointment schedules and meet productivity metrics.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Knowledge of copper wiring and plant systems required.
• Experience with copper cable repair and rehabilitation preferred.
• Own tools and safety equipment as per company checklist.
• Own a truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S23 or newer) and laptop with Microsoft Excel required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
• Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and teamwork skills.
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.
• Dependable and accountable.

Compensation

• Hourly pay plus per diem for travel.
• Hourly rates for cable maintenance for skilled Copper I&R Technicians.
• Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, PTO, and 401k.
