Job Description

The Fiber I&R Technician position is located in Southern CA, with opportunities across multiple cities including Whittier, Temecula, Covina, Pomona, Palm Springs, Moreno Valley, Morongo Valley, Los Angeles, Beach Cities, Arrowhead, Big Bear, Indio, Hemet, Lancaster, Ridgecrest, and San Bernardino. This is a full-time role.

The primary responsibility is to install fiber optic internet services, ensuring top-quality delivery and providing product education to residential and commercial customers.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial clients.
  • Ensure optimal performance of internet, phone, and television services where applicable.
  • Complete pre-installation work orders and post-installation customer education to ensure satisfaction.
  • Install aerial or buried fiber drops and wiring indoors and outdoors.
  • Follow all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
  • Work at heights using ladders and in confined spaces.
  • Assist team members as needed, demonstrating teamwork.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when representing the company.
  • Adapt to new processes and information regularly.
  • Use internal systems for work order documentation and time tracking.
  • Maintain customer appointments and meet performance metrics for repeats, productivity, and completions.
  • Be willing to relocate across different regions periodically to meet work volume demands.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • Experience with fiber optic internet and home phone services is required.
  • Own tools and safety equipment as per company checklist.
  • Own a truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
  • Own essential tools for the job.
  • Android Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone or newer.
  • Laptop with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
  • Effective communication and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.
  • Dependable, accountable, and flexible for overtime and weekend work.
  • Ability to take constructive input and improve skills accordingly.
Compensation
