Job summary

NIBCO's Stuarts Draft, VA facility seeks a Cell Team Operator for 18 Beading on the 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. shift. You will set up and operate machines, inspect copper fittings, and keep the work area clean and safe in a busy cell environment.

Manufacturing experience is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Expect lifting up to 50 pounds and using measurement tools with strict adherence to safety and standard work practices.

Qualifications

• Acceptable attendance record per hiring and job transfer policies
• Ability to accurately read measurement tools (including plug and ring gages, as well as micrometers and calipers)
• Ability to understand and follow all applicable safety policies
• Ability to understand and follow standard work practices

Responsibilities

• Operate manually-fed and automated machinery, starting, supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and cleaning assigned equipment
• Inspect manufactured fittings to quality specs using gauge tools (plug/ring gages, calipers, micrometers)
• Clean up and maintain a safe, organized work area around machinery
• Flow to available work and assist in other manufacturing areas as needed
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and participate in safety initiatives
