Job summary

IEM is seeking an Operations Manager for our Jacksonville, FL copper bus fabrication operations. The role oversees safety, quality, delivery, and cost across facilities, leading supervisors and fabrication teams for stable process execution.

Responsibilities include driving throughput, OEE, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement, in close partnership with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance. This role requires 100% in-office presence in Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• MBA is an asset.
• 5+ years in metal manufacturing operations.
• Leadership experience managing supervisors and fabrication teams.
• Strong knowledge of CNC punch, forming, and material flow.
• Experience with ERP systems (Infor SyteLine preferred).
• Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data analytics tools is an asset.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with OEE and MES systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day copper fabrication operations across all shifts and facilities to achieve SQDC targets.
• Manage Supervisors and Leads, ensuring stable fabrication flow and workforce deployment.
• Achieve throughput, utilization (OEE), scrap reduction, and overtime targets.
• Drive root-cause analysis for quality issues, downtime, and process instability.
• Maintain adherence to SOPs, machine setup standards, and quality requirements.
• Partner with Engineering on program optimization, fixture standardization, and new equipment.
