Job summary

Modine is seeking a Copper Fabrication Operator in Texas to set up and run copper and steel pipe fabrication equipment. You will read blueprints, operate band saws, plasma cutters, and bending machines, and perform first article inspections to ensure parts meet engineering specifications.

The role requires experience in manufacturing, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel for training. You will work in a safe environment, follow 5S practices, and support continuous process

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a pipe fabrication role.
• Must be able to read blueprints and engineering diagrams
• Experience using a variety of measuring instruments to determine part quality
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Role may require travel for Company training

Responsibilities

• Perform all set up and operation of equipment in copper fabrication cells
• Operate all pipe fabrication equipment, including but not limited to band saws, plasma cutters, grooving machines, and pipe bending machines to produce precision copper and steel pipe parts safely, efficiently, and to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Set up equipment to produce parts to print and complete first article inspections on parts
• Inspects parts throughout shift for adherence to prints, and makes adjustments as needed
• Coordinates with engineering to make changes or updates to programs as needed
• Works in a safe manner
• Keeps accurate inventory of tools
• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work area and adheres to 5S principles
• Performs basic cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines as required
• Performs other duties as required
• Maintains safe, clean and orderly work area

Position Description

The Copper Fabrication Operator is responsible for setting up and operating all pipe fabrication equipment, including but not limited to band saws, plasma cutters, grooving machines, and pipe bending machines to produce precision copper and steel pipe parts safely, efficiently, and to engineering specifications.

Required Education & Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
