Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Copilot Engineer to lead the deployment, governance, and optimization of Copilot across the enterprise from Bellevue, WA. You will collaborate with IT, Security, Data Operations, and business stakeholders to deploy secure, scalable Copilot capabilities within Microsoft 365.

The role includes readiness assessments, governance controls with Purview, and adoption reporting using Copilot Analytics, Viva Insights, and Power BI.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot in a production environment.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Graph.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Compliance Manager, and Insider Risk Management.
  • Experience with Copilot Analytics, Viva Insights, Power BI, and M365 reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Copilot Engineer to support the implementation, administration, governance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-powered productivity solutions across the enterprise. This hands‑on engineering role will work closely with IT, Security, Data Operations, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deploy and support Copilot capabilities within Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, Copilot Studio, and related productivity platforms. The engineer will help ensure Copilot solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise governance, compliance, and Responsible AI standards. The ideal candidate has strong Microsoft 365 engineering experience and hands‑on expertise with Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments, Microsoft Purview, information governance, and enterprise collaboration technologies. Responsibilities include conducting Copilot readiness assessments, performing oversharing and permissions remediation, configuring Purview controls (DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, Compliance Manager), developing usage and adoption reporting through Copilot Analytics, Viva Insights, Power BI, and M365 Admin Center tools, supporting Copilot Studio and automation initiatives, and partnering with business stakeholders to identify and enable high‑value AI use cases. This role will also support user adoption efforts through training, prompt libraries, office hours, and ongoing optimization activities while helping drive measurable productivity improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft 365 Copilot solutions across the enterprise.
  • Perform Copilot readiness assessments, including tenant configuration, licensing validation, data readiness reviews, and security posture evaluations.
  • Support Copilot rollouts across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Viva, and related Microsoft 365 services.
  • Conduct oversharing, permissions, and content governance assessments to identify risks and remediation opportunities.
  • Support pilot programs, phased deployments, enterprise‑wide enablement efforts, and ongoing platform support.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high‑value AI use cases, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Governance, Security & Compliance

Configure and administer Microsoft Purview solutions, including Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Compliance Manager, and Insider Risk Management. Support Responsible AI governance, data protection standards, and enterprise compliance requirements. Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams on monitoring, auditing, access reviews, and governance reporting. Support Conditional Access, RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Zero Trust security initiatives.

Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization

Monitor Copilot adoption, utilization, platform performance, and business value realization. Develop operational and executive reporting using Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Copilot Analytics, Copilot Dashboard, Viva Insights, and Power BI. Analyze user adoption trends, engagement metrics, and feedback to identify optimization opportunities and improve platform effectiveness. Recommend enhancements to improve user experience, governance, scalability, and operational maturity.

Operational Excellence

Lead or support incident, problem, change, release, service‑request, root‑cause analysis, and continuous‑improvement activities for Copilot services, agents, and integrations. Create and maintain technical standards, implementation patterns, runbooks, support procedures, knowledge articles, architecture and configuration documentation, and operational best practices. Stay current on Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI productivity capabilities, and emerging industry trends. Evaluate new features and recommend implementation opportunities aligned with business objectives and enterprise standards. Support training, office hours, prompt libraries, user guides, and adoption initiatives to maximize the value of Copilot across the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot in a production environment.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Graph.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Compliance Manager, and Insider Risk Management.
  • Experience with Copilot Analytics, Viva Insights, Power BI, and M365 reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Copilot Studio and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Experience designing, deploying, or supporting Copilot Studio agents or comparable conversational AI and agent solutions.
  • Experience supporting AI governance and Responsible AI initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Semantic Index, Microsoft Graph Connectors, prompt engineering, and AI‑enabled workflow optimization.
  • Experience supporting cloud services in a highly regulated environment where security, compliance, operational reliability, and formal change governance are critical.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS‑102, SC‑300, SC‑400, PL‑600, or Microsoft Copilot certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $100.00/hr.
