Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Copy Repair Technician in Montgomery, AL to install, maintain, and repair copiers, printers, and imaging equipment. The role emphasizes uptime, quality output, and excellent customer service through diagnostics and timely repairs.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience with copiers and related office equipment, plus basic networking and Windows knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience servicing copiers, printers, MFPs, or related office technology equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Basic understanding of computer networking and operating systems.
• Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain copiers, multifunction printers, scanners, and related imaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, network, and software-related issues.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot print quality issues such as streaking, ghosting, image defects, paper jams, and toner problems.
• Replace and calibrate components including drums, fusers, transfer belts, rollers, sensors, and imaging units.
• Install firmware updates and software patches.
• Configure network printing, scanning, and user authentication settings.
• Respond to service calls and resolve equipment issues within SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and parts usage logs.
• Manage inventory of service parts, toner, and maintenance supplies.
• Train end users on proper equipment operation and routine maintenance procedures.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or manufacturer support as required.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and manufacturer specifications.
