Job summary

LTTS is seeking a Coos Robotics Weld Engineer to join the manufacturing automation team in a live production setting. You will program new products, troubleshoot and maintain automated welding equipment and tooling, and support continuous improvement initiatives to meet internal goals.

Responsibilities include developing manuals and maintenance plans, validating welding operations, driving CAPA actions, and maintaining documentation for automation systems and NPD projects.

Qualifications

  • B.S or equivalent in engineering or technical practice.
  • Experience integrating Coos Robot in live manufacturing.
  • Proven welding processes and procedures for robotic welding.
  • Knowledge of AWS welding standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manuals, drawings, models, training docs, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshoot guides for automated equipment.
  • Support validation of Coos robotic welding equipment operations.
  • Assist CAPA initiatives and drive permanent corrective actions.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and communicate daily tasks.
  • Interface with automated equipment and drive controls to reduce defects and downtime.
  • Develop welding process parameters and equipment control requirements.
  • Assist design engineers with qualifying automation control solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain operation documentation for automation equipment.
  • Support New Product Development automation needs.
