Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Welding Engineer to manage plant weld systems and collaborate with engineering on new weld machine controls and standards.
You will provide technical welding expertise to the weld lab, supervise robotic welding setup and programming, and support new program launches to meet customer expectations.
This position is responsible for management and support of all plant weld systems and documentation, and for working with engineering on new weld machine controls and standards.
Provide technical welding expertise to the weld lab, including personnel, equipment, documents, and records of compliance.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding current and new weld assembly processing, tooling, and equipment.
Develop and implement parameters for weld length, leg length, throat length, penetration, and structural quality for welded assemblies.
Develop and implement a training programs for maintenance technicians in the troubleshooting and repair of robotic welding equipment.
Supervise and manage the setup and programming of robots for welding.
Support new program launches and customer expectations.
Weld Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years experience in an automated/robotic welding environment.
Strong knowledge of automated/robotic welding and fabrication processes.
Resistance welding experience required.
Strong experience/knowledge in robotic programming for welding processes, preferably using Fanuc or Motoman equipment.
