LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN is hiring an Intake Coordinator to register and schedule rehabilitation services for patients. You will interact with patients, rehab staff, and providers to ensure accurate data entry and timely care coordination.

You will verify insurance information, obtain authorizations, and communicate delays or changes promptly. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and a patient‑centered approach in a collaborative health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients into the Electronic Medical Record with accurate insurance information.
• Verify patient data and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance authorization and schedule appointments when authorized.
• Communicate with patients and providers to ensure timely scheduling and appointment times.
• Make schedule changes to accommodate patient and provider availability.
• Greet patients and notify staff of arrivals.
• Register LifeCare Rehabilitation Services members and collect monthly dues as appropriate.
• Complete a weekly department task checklist to ensure safety and cleanliness.

An Intake Coordinator is responsible for registering and scheduling rehabilitation services patients. Intake Coordinators have direct communication with patients, Rehabilitation Services staff, primary care providers, and specialists. Interdepartmental communication is also necessary for intake coordinators ensuring provision of care for our patients is maximized.

What you’ll get to do in this role:

Patients are appropriately registered into the Electronic Medical Record including accurate insurance information.

Verification of accurate patient data and insurance information is performed routine.

Insurance authorization is obtained and patients are scheduled when appropriate authorization is obtained.

Prompt communication with patients and appropriate providers is completed to ensure timely scheduling and appointment times.

Schedule changes are made for patient and provider occurrences to ensure timely scheduling and appointment times.

Patients are greeted and arrival notification is provided to staff in a timely manner.

Community gym members are registered into the LifeCare Rehabilitation Services electronic system, authorization to join is obtained from a provider when appropriate, and initial along with monthly membership dues are collected.

Complete a weekly checklist of department tasks to ensure staff and patient safety as well as department cleanliness.

You’re an excellent fit, if you have:

• high school diploma or GED
• previous office management experience preferred
